When are the Easter holidays in Coventry?

Coventry’s Easter holidays in 2026 take place from Monday 30th March to Friday 10 April, covering two weeks. This time includes Good Friday on 3rd April and Easter Monday on 6th April. Students are set to return on Monday 13 April - but be sure to check for teacher training days, though, as all schools set these differently. 

Head to the theatre

Rapunzal

For a magical start to the holidays, The Albany Theatre presents Rapunzel on Thursday 2nd April. Suitable for ages 4 and up, this award-winning production is sure to entertain - complete with comedy, catchy songs, and dazzling costumes. Families will love this retelling of the classic tale, packed with audience interaction, plenty of magic and lots of mayhem.

Cat in the Hat

Younger theatre-goers can also enjoy the charming adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat. Designed for children aged 3+, the show brings mischief and fun to the stage, with the chance to meet the Cat after the performance. It’s a perfect introduction to live theatre, blending playful antics with unforgettable entertainment.

Detective Dog Nell

For fans of stories and adventure, head to Belgrade Theatre to see Detective Dog Nell on stage. Based on Julia Donaldson’s book, children can follow along with Nell’s nose-twitching investigations stitched together with engaging puppetry, catchy music, and even surprising scents. Suitable for ages 3 - 7.

The Bubble Show

Science meets fun at The Ultimate Bubble Show with Guinness World Record-holder Ray Bubbles. Families will be wowed by incredible bubble sculptures, including a soap bubble carousel, a bubble ghost, and even a tornado inside a bubble. With playful experiments and dazzling effects, the show is designed to be inclusive and accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy the spectacle.

Hands-on fun at this year’s Brick Festival

If your passion is LEGO then you won’t want to miss the Coventry Brick Festival. Taking place on Saturday 4th April at the Coventry Building Society Arena, this event features large-scale displays, speed-building competitions, hands-on activities, and rare sets for collectors.

Outdoor fun with baby animals

Springtime brings new arrivals at Hatton Adventure World, where families can meet baby lambs, goat kids, and piglets in the Spring Arrivals Marquee.
