As the May half-term fast approaches in Coventry, families are looking for ways to keep children engaged and entertained. Visit Coventry Charterhouse for a family fun day
Coventry Charterhouse is located within easy reach of the city centre. It’s a Grade 1 listed heritage site, dating back more than 600 years - surrounded by acres of greenery. It is perfect for a family day out, especially on a damp day, as there’s plenty to do inside as well.
Why not explore the Charterhouse walled garden’s short lantern-lit trail, decorated with pumpkin displays and glowing lights? Or venture inside and find the house decorated with bats, pumpkins, black cats and ghosts.
Admission is free and there’s no need to book. Plus, there’s a cafe on site with lots of delicious savoury and sweet treats on the menu. Visitors are advised to look at their website, as opening times vary.
Head to the theatre
KPop Demon Hunter fans are not going to want to miss the K Pop Forever! tribute show, which is heading to The Albany Theatre in Coventry this half-term, on Wednesday 27th May. The show is 2 hours long (including an interval) and strives to take fans on a journey they won't forget.
Suitable for all ages (although 3+ is recommended), with tickets costing £28 per person, and the show starting at 19:30pm. Book early to avoid disappointment.
Meet Dippy at Herbert Art Gallery and Museum
Visitors to Herbert Art Gallery and Museum can still come face-to-face with the iconic Dippy the Diplodocus, who has been confirmed to remain on display for another year.
